Duvet And Duvet Covers
It is human nature to take some things for granted especially when they don’t seem to add much value to life. Some days ago I read about how a woman was struggling to put in the duvet in the duvet cover to the point of labelling them “useless” and complicated. I have written a lot about Pottery barn duvet covers and others and what have you but I have never really taken the time to write a post or review ( call it whatever you like) about this.
In this post I provide an easier way on how to go about doing this effectively. Applying these tips will save you a lot of time and also damage to your red duvet covers or other colors you own , which may be as a result of pulling and folding agressively.
I know someone who literally crawls inside her flannel duvet cover so she can be able to pull the comforter and fit it into place. In my opinion, this is too much work – apart from the fact that you may want to scrub the floor thoroughly first to avoid messing up your freshly washed cover this is just not right.
One easier way to do it effectively is to simply roll it up like a carpet. Then just put it inside and unroll it. My favourite way, however, is to simply turn it inside out and line up the corner of the quilt with the inside seam of your cover. While still holding on the corners flip it right side out and you’ll be done – just like that.
Another option is to buy and use some duvet clips. You use these clips to hold the quilt with the inside seam together so when you flip the cover right side out it fits perfectly into position. The clip could be metal but try to find one that is covered in soft foam. Now once you have the clips on to the seam and quilt you can then just flit the cover right side out.
