i bought a used guitar amp and want to know if it's suppose make a buzzing sound?
even if i'm not playing the guitar it makes a buzzing sound?Are new amps like this?
Answer:
Usually it has to do with your house. If the outlet you are using (or if the house you are in) isn't grounded correctly (it happens a LOT!) you will get what is called "60 cycle hum".
There are other reasons which were outlined above, but dollars to donuts it is the outlet and/or house.
