well actually there bass and guitar strings.....and i was told that its a good way to clean em....but i have a gut feeling that it could be dangerous? am i wrong?
Answer:
Ordinarily I would say that Steppenwolf is being overly cautious, BUT these days when companies are saving money by doing the job half way, you can not count on there being a minimal loss of plated metal...and the wolf is further correct that the factor of time is against you. Why risk it.
Buy a Tupperware container just for this and soak them in boiling water..or buy a cheap metal pot (if you have the storage room for it) and make sure everyone else with access to it knows that it is not for food prep,
