My violin has a crack on the back that's about half as long as the plate. I have a parts warranty on it from Sam Ash, will I be able to get it repaired?

I would expect so. If the crack happened by itself without "assistance" from you then I'm sure the warranty would cover it. I'm not familiar with Sam Ash but it looks ok. I wouldn't say it looks like a great dealer or anything. Next time you buy a violin I would suggest going to someone who specializes in violins, aka a luthier.
